Peshawar: Significant reserves of oil and gas have been discovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to a spokesperson for Pakistan Oilfield Limited (POL).
The new reserves were found in the Razgir well within the TAL Block, which is expected to produce 250 barrels of crude oil and 20 million cubic meters of standard cubic gas daily. Drilling commenced in January this year.
This discovery is a joint venture between POL, Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDC), and Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL).
Additionally, just two weeks ago, a substantial oil and gas deposit was discovered by POL in the Ikhlas block of Attock. This well is yielding 714 barrels of crude oil and 10 million cubic feet of gas per day.
