Man Arrested After Scaling Wall to Enter Girls’ Hostel at Quaid-e-Azam University

Man Arrested After Scaling Wall to Enter Girls’ Hostel at Quaid-e-Azam University as Islamabad police took swift action after a security breach at one of the country’s leading public universities. The incident occurred late Monday night when a man unlawfully entered Girls’ Hostel Number 5 at Quaid-e-Azam University by climbing over a boundary wall, triggering panic among students and raising serious concerns about campus security.

According to police officials, the suspect was discovered inside the washrooms of the girls’ hostel at around 2am. Students noticed unusual movement and raised an alarm, prompting the lady warden and hostel security staff to respond immediately. The suspect was apprehended on the spot and later handed over to the police for legal action.

An FIR has been registered at the Secretariat Police Station, and the arrested individual has been identified as Faizan Satti son of Raja Khalid Mahmood. Islamabad police said further investigation is underway to determine the suspect’s intent, background, and whether he was involved in any previous incidents of harassment or trespassing.

A video circulating from the scene shows the man being questioned by staff and students about his identity and how he managed to enter the hostel premises. In the footage, he admits that he climbed the wall to get inside and also mentions Rawal Dam when asked about where he came from. Authorities are reviewing the video as part of the ongoing investigation.

Man Arrested After Scaling Wall to Enter Girls’ Hostel at Quaid-e-Azam University comes at a time when law enforcement agencies across the Islamabad Rawalpindi region are increasing action against harassment and crimes targeting women. The incident has reignited calls for stricter security protocols at educational institutions, particularly women’s hostels, to ensure student safety.

The case follows another recent incident in Rawalpindi, where Cantt Police arrested a man accused of secretly recording indecent videos of women inside the washroom of Rawalpindi Cantonment General Hospital. Police said the arrest was made after hospital staff responded to a woman’s screams and recovered objectionable videos from the suspect’s mobile phone.

According to Rawalpindi Police, a case was registered on the complaint of the hospital’s security supervisor, and investigators are proceeding on the basis of what officials described as solid evidence. Station House Officer Cantt Police Noor ul Ain confirmed that the accused would be charged after completion of the investigation.

Superintendent of Police Potohar Talha Wali has reiterated that harassment or violence against women and children will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone involved in such crimes, stressing that ensuring public safety remains a top priority for law enforcement agencies.
