A man killed his younger brother after a heated dispute over an inflated electricity bill in Gujranwala district of Punjab.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at a house on Prince Road in Gujranwala city. The brothers, identified as Murtaza and Umar Farooq, quarreled over the high electricity bill, which escalated into a violent confrontation.
Murtaza used a sharp instrument to cut Umar’s throat, resulting in his death at the scene. A case has been registered against Murtaza, and the police are conducting raids to arrest him.
In a separate incident in Faisalabad, another man was stabbed to death by his younger brother over an exorbitant electricity bill, as neither wanted to pay it.
This incident occurred within the limits of the Balochni police station, where an altercation broke out between two brothers, Ghulam Fareed and Muhammad Qais, over the payment of the electricity bill.
