Met office predicts high temperature, below normal rainfall for current year


ISLAMABAD: The met office has predicted that the average temperature in the country for the current year will be slightly above the normal.
According to the met office, temperature for the month of April and May will rise above the normal with below the normal rainfall.
It added that central parts of Southern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be in the grip of severe hot weather during the next two months.
Temperature is likely to go above 45 degrees centigrade in southern Punjab, interior Sindh and Karachi, the met office said.
Meanwhile, the water level in Mangla and Tarbela Dams has dropped to record low level which can rise with the rainfall; however, no rainfall has been predicted for the next few days.
