Military Siege Enters 10th Day in Rajouri, Residents Face Continued Harassment

Jammu: Indian forces have continued their large-scale cordon and search operation in Rajouri and other areas of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, causing fear and hardship among local residents.

According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel of the Indian Army, paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force, Special Operations Group and so-called Village Defence Guards are taking part in the operation.

The operation, named Operation Sherawali, has continued in the Gambhir Mughlan and Dorimal-Manjakote areas of Rajouri district for the tenth consecutive day.

Indian forces have sealed all entry and exit routes in the affected areas. Local residents are facing repeated door-to-door searches and strict movement restrictions.

The continued operation has disturbed daily life and created an atmosphere of fear in the area.

According to reports, Indian forces have deployed war helicopters, drones, sniffer dogs and para commandos in the rugged terrain.

The large-scale deployment has added to the difficulties of residents, who are already facing prolonged restrictions and security checks. People in the area continue to face searches of their homes and questioning by security personnel.

Residents say normal life has been badly affected due to the ongoing military presence. The continued siege has raised concerns over the harassment of civilians in the occupied territory. The cordon and search operation remains underway in Rajouri.

Indian forces have not announced when the restrictions will be lifted. The situation continues to be tense as residents remain confined under heavy military pressure.
