Islamabad: Aniq Ahmed, the Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs, conveyed the gratitude of Pakistani pilgrims for the unwavering cooperation of Saudi authorities in providing top-notch facilities for Hajj.
This sentiment was expressed during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al Maliky in Islamabad.
The discussion centered around various matters aimed at finalizing arrangements for Hajj 2024. Minister Aniq Ahmed assured that all necessary preparations for Hajj would be completed within the stipulated time frame.
He highlighted the additional ease provided to applicants in the private Hajj scheme, following directives from Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Ambassador disclosed that senior Saudi officials would visit Pakistan in the last week of the month to conclude discussions on the ‘Road to Makkah’ project, specifically from Karachi airport.
He revealed that private scheme pilgrims would also be incorporated into the ‘Road to Makkah’ initiative alongside government pilgrims.
Moreover, Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Religious Harmony, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, announced that private Hajj tour operators had commenced bookings for Hajj, emphasizing the collaborative efforts in ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience for all.
