Chairman WAPDA visited Mohmand Dam and learned it will be finished in 2026, producing 800MW of power, providing extra water for 160k acres of land, and 300 million gallons of daily drinking water for Peshawar.
He reviewed construction activities and directed the contractor to expedite the river Swat diversion, ensuring sufficient resources for timely completion.
Mohmand Dam, set for 2026, holds 1.2M acre feet, offering eco-friendly 800MW, irrigating 18,233 acres, and benefiting 160k acres of cultivated land. It’s a significant water source for Peshawar with 300 million gallons per day.
