KARACHI: Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) suspended its Sindh MPA Abdur Rauf Siddiqui from the party’s organizational membership.
The Muttahida’s Coordination Committee took up this decision in its simultaneous meetings in Karachi and London, saying, "Rauf Siddiqui is thoroughly paralyzed mentally and ideologically. Hence, he is suspended from the party’s organizational membership."
The MQM’s central decision-making body said Siddiqui will continue functioning as Sindh MPA but he will not be invited to attend the MQM’s organizational sittings, training sessions or any other intra-party meetings.
Rabita Committee said the party’s office-bearers overseeing the parliamentary matters may contact Siddiqui regarding assembly sessions and other concerned parliamentary affairs.
