In the context of District Kemari NA-242 in Karachi, the spokesperson for Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan has clarified that no seat adjustment has occurred between MQM and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Dismissing reports of seat adjustment for NA-242 involving MQM Pakistan as baseless, the spokesperson affirmed that Mustafa Kamal, MQM’s senior deputy convener, is the designated candidate for NA-242.
It’s worth noting that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has obtained nomination papers for NA-242 in Karachi, while Mustafa Kamal of MQM Pakistan has also submitted nomination papers for the same constituency.
Recalling the 2018 elections, Shehbaz Sharif secured the second position in this constituency, with MQM claiming the fourth spot in the previous electoral contest.
