LAHORE: Pakistan’s renowned fast bowler, Naseem Shah, has expressed his deep disappointment at being excluded from the cricket squad for the 2023 World Cup.
Addressing the matter, Naseem Shah stated, “With a heavy heart, I regret to inform you that I won’t be a part of this incredible team representing our beloved nation.”
Despite his disappointment, Naseem Shah expressed his belief that everything is ultimately in Allah’s hands.

He remains hopeful that he will return to the field soon and extended his gratitude to all the fans for their prayers and support.
It’s worth noting that today, Inzamam-ul-Haq, the chief selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), announced the national squad for the 2023 World Cup. He explained that Naseem Shah has been sidelined due to injury, as the medical team has yet to declare him fit. Fast bowler Hassan Ali will be taking Naseem’s place in the team for the 2023 World Cup.

Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Abdullah Shafiq, Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Muhammad Wasim Jr, Salman Agha,Hasan Ali, Saud Shakeel and Osama Mir.
Reserve player
Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said that three players have been kept in reserve for the World Cup, including Mohammad Haris, Abrar Ahmed and Zaman Khan.
