National Security Adviser Pakistan, Lt Gen Muhammad Asim Malik, is currently in China on an official trip. He attended a high-level meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
Lt Gen Asim Malik, who also serves as the chief of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), used the SCO platform to share Pakistan’s vision for peace. He stressed the importance of global security and stability in today’s changing world order.
During his address, the national security adviser reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to playing a positive and active role in fostering regional peace. He made it clear that Pakistan stands for constructive engagement, not confrontation.
The Pakistani envoy on security held several significant meetings with top Chinese officials. Both sides agreed to expand security cooperation. They also decided to boost bilateral relations across all areas.
Lt Gen Malik described Pakistan’s strategy as one rooted in peaceful coexistence with its neighbours. He said that promoting regional harmony remains a core objective for the country.
