PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif confirmed that the party’s legal team has approved former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan on October 21.
Shehbaz asserted that Nawaz would come back to face the law and Constitution after being in self-imposed exile since 2019. In a media talk, Shehbaz discussed the challenges faced during his premiership and highlighted Nawaz’s contributions, mentioning a fresh medical report submitted to the Lahore High Court.
He expressed confidence in Nawaz’s return, stating, “You shouldn’t ask if he is coming or not; this is confirmed now.” When questioned about being the “establishment’s man,” Shehbaz defended himself, emphasizing the sacrifices he and Nawaz made, including imprisonment. Regarding journalist Imran Riaz Khan, Shehbaz stated he wasn’t aware and would look into the matter.
