Nawaz Sharif desperate for NRO to avoid conviction in corruption cases: Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Tuesday said that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is making desperate attempts to strike an NRO like deal to avoid conviction on money laundering and save his Rs 300 billion stashed abroad from being frozen.
In a series of tweets, Imran Khan said that Nawaz Sharif has no concern how much damage he does to the nation to save his ill-gotten Rs 300 billion stashed outside Pakistan. “He is desperate for NRO to avoid conviction on money laundering & save his Rs 300 bn stashed abroad from being frozen,” Imran Khan tweeted.
Imran Khan added that the London Game Plan obvious now. He said that Nawaz would retain control of PML-N and use it to malign NAB, Judiciary and military to pressure them for another NRO. He further added that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi rapidly reducing Pakistan to banana republic. “He is playing poodle to a discredited Nawaz Sharif and retaining fugitive from justice as Finance Minister Ishaq Dar,” Imran Khan maintained.
