Negligence in Darra Adam Khel: Rescue 1122 Sends Driver and Guard to Death in Mine Operation

DARRA ADAM KHEL – A rescue operation in Darra Adam Khel ended in tragedy when Rescue 1122 sent untrained staff – an LTV driver and a security guard – into a dangerous mine rescue mission. Both embraced martyrdom after being deployed without proper expertise or protective arrangements.

The incident has raised serious concerns over institutional negligence and blatant violation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Rescue sources confirmed that despite the hazardous nature of the mission, no qualified technical team was assigned.

This is not the first time such mismanagement has cost lives. A few years ago, during the Forest Hill fire incident, a medical technician lost his life while performing duties outside his professional scope. No corrective measures were taken after that tragedy, and history has repeated itself.

Observers note that such tragedies stem from the posting of non-technical officers in key management positions. These appointments result in poor decision-making, as those entrusted with leadership lack the competence to fully understand technical challenges and risks. The repeated loss of lives underscores the urgent need for accountability and reform within the system.
