KARACHI: Sindh government has announced that the second phase of the Local government elections will be held on January 15 as per schedule.
The spokesman for the provincial government, Sharjeel Memon said that after the Election Commission’s decision, the Sindh government could not stop local government elections in Karachi and Hyderabad and other districts of the province. He said that the provincial government will not issue any ordinance for postponing the local bodies elections. He said that the provincial government has accepted the decision of the ECP and elections will be held as per schedule.
