One school-going child killed, 20 injured in gas cylinder blast

QUETTA: At least a school-going child was killed and 20 others injured in a gas cylinder explosion at a snack shop in Turbat area of Balochistan on Wednesday.
According to reports, the blast occurred at a shop near Turbat Park Hotel, which sparked a blaze which engulfed a school van.
The serious injured children were shifted to Karachi for treatment, while one of the serious injured child succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan expressed his concerns at the incident and directed the local administration to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured, which includes passers-by as well.
The chief minister ordered that those severely injured be transferred to Karachi immediately, and announced that their treatment costs will be borne by the government.
