Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Fayyaz Hussain Shah praised Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos as a symbol of Pakistan’s courage and professional strength. He made these remarks during a special session at Punjab University on Tuesday.
Addressing the students and faculty, Lt Gen Shah explained how Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos proved the bravery of the Pakistani nation and its military forces. He said the mission showed the world how Pakistan stands united during testing times.
He added that the recent confrontation with India revealed Pakistan’s strong belief, discipline, and national spirit. “This was not just a battle—it was a historic moment of national victory,” he stated with pride.
Lt Gen Shah observed student-created paintings inspired by the theme of Marka-e-Haq. He admired their creative work and praised their deep sense of patriotism.
Upon his arrival at the university, he was welcomed warmly. He said it was an honour to visit Pakistan’s oldest and largest seat of learning. He called the teachers “the builders of the nation” and appreciated their service in shaping future generations.
While speaking about warfare in the modern age, he stressed the role of technology. “Knowledge and IT are now more powerful than ever in defense and strategy,” he said. He linked the success of Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos to these elements as well.
The corps commander underlined the role of youth in national progress. “Our young generation is the living proof of a bright tomorrow. We must stand together to make Pakistan safer, stronger, and more united,” he remarked.
By highlighting Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos throughout his talk, he reminded the audience of its importance. He described it as a mission that reflects not only military excellence but also the power of unity, dedication, and vision.
