Operation Ghazab lil Haq Results and Statistics Show Sharp Decline in Terrorism in KP

Operation Ghazab lil Haq results and statistics indicate a significant improvement in the security situation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as terrorism-related incidents have dropped sharply since the launch of the operation. According to official data, Operation Ghazab lil Haq results and statistics show that terrorism cases in the province have decreased by around 65%, reflecting a notable shift in the overall law and order landscape. These Operation Ghazab lil Haq results and statistics highlight how targeted actions against militant networks have contributed to stabilizing the region.

The operation was initiated between the night of February 26 and 27 this year, focusing on eliminating terrorist safe havens across the border in Afghanistan. Before the operation began, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had recorded 240 terrorism incidents during the year. In contrast, after the launch of the operation, only 80 incidents have been reported so far, showing a clear downward trend in violence.

Weekly data further supports this decline. In the ninth week of the year, the province witnessed the highest number of incidents at 48. However, following the operation, the numbers dropped progressively. By the twelfth week, incidents reduced to just 12. In the tenth and eleventh weeks, 42 and 29 incidents were reported respectively, indicating a consistent decline after the operation began.

Overall, the province has recorded 323 terrorism incidents this year, but the trend after the operation reflects improved control over militant activities. Officials attribute this reduction to coordinated efforts by security forces and intelligence-based operations targeting terrorist networks.

Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry stated that operations conducted against terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan have played a key role in reducing attacks within Pakistan. He added that several high-profile planners behind attacks in cities like Islamabad and Bannu were eliminated during the operation. He also noted that individuals using Afghan territory for cross-border terrorism were among those neutralized, and that relevant authorities had shared details of these networks with the Afghan interim government.

Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah also acknowledged that the operation has positively impacted the province’s security environment. He emphasized that joint efforts by the Pakistan Army, police, and other law enforcement agencies have been instrumental in achieving these results. He further stated that operations against terrorism will continue, and all institutions are working in coordination under the National Action Plan to eliminate the threat of extremism.

Authorities maintain that the sacrifices made by law enforcement agencies will not go in vain, and continued cooperation between federal and provincial institutions remains essential to sustaining peace and stability across the country.
