Opposition protests violence against farmers

ISLAMABAD: The Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq Friday refused to allow opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah to speak on a point of order.
However, finance minister Ishaq Dar intervened and requested the speaker to allow opposition leader to speak as the prime minister has also consented.
Later on the opposition leader said that they did not want to disrupt the budget session. He said that the police baton charged and use tear gas against the farmers, who were peacefully protesting for their rights. He strongly condemned the violence against the farmers.
The opposition members raised shame shame slogans during opposition leader speech.
When the finance minister Ishaq Dar started budget speech, the opposition members started raising slogans and torn the copies of the budget speech.
