Like other parts of Europe, the overseas Pakistani and Kashmiri community in Barcelona, Spain, staged a massive protest condemning Indian state terrorism and expressing strong solidarity with the Pakistan Army. The demonstrators raised powerful slogans such as “Pakistan Zindabad” and “Long Live Pakistan Army,” and declared their full trust in the Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.
The protest, organized by EU-Pak Friendship Federation, Nida-e-Kashmir Spain, and Pak Federation Spain, took place at the iconic tourist site, Plaça de Catalunya in Barcelona. People from all walks of life, political affiliations, and age groups participated – from children as young as 10 to elderly individuals aged 70 and above.
Protesters rejected the recent Pahalgam attack as another false-flag drama orchestrated by India and urged the international community to recognize India’s history of staging such attacks to blame Pakistan. They emphasized that Pakistan is always ready for independent investigations at global forums, while India hides behind false propaganda.
One of the highlights of the protest was the unity displayed by overseas Pakistanis. Members of all political, social, and religious organizations stood under one flag – the green and white Pakistani flag. Demonstrators held placards, banners, and waved national flags while chanting slogans like “India is a terrorist,” “Modi is a terrorist,” and “Tera Zameer Mera Zameer – Asim Munir, Asim Munir.”
The protest attracted attention from international tourists in Barcelona who witnessed the passionate display and expressed concern over India’s state-sponsored violence.
Speakers at the event praised the Pakistan Army’s sacrifices and reaffirmed that overseas Pakistanis stand firmly behind their armed forces. They declared that any aggression from the enemy would be met with a strong response, and General Syed Asim Munir is the pride of the nation.
This protest will be remembered as a powerful demonstration of the overseas community’s unwavering love for Pakistan and the armed forces.
