Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited the Pakistan Air Force’s operational base in Kamra. He was joined by the Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Defence Minister, Planning Minister, Information Minister, Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, and the Naval Chief.
The Prime Minister received a detailed briefing about the Air Force’s combat readiness and operational strength. He met pilots, engineers, and technical staff on the frontline. He thanked them for their dedication, professionalism, and tireless service to the country.
Speaking at the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz said:
“In response to unprovoked aggression, our armed forces showed discipline, strategy, and accuracy. They responded swiftly, targeting hostile military assets. Their actions proved Pakistan’s firm commitment to defending its borders and sovereignty.”
He added:
“The people of Pakistan are proud of their brave forces. Under the leadership of the Army Chief, our soldiers have shown the world that we will never allow any threat to go unanswered.”
Referring to recent military success, the Prime Minister confirmed:
“The Pakistan Air Force downed a sixth Indian aircraft on the night of 6–7 May. It was a Mirage-2000 that crashed near Pampore, east of Srinagar. This shows PAF’s skill and strong will to protect the homeland.”
He also praised the Air Force chief:
“Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu has led the Pakistan Air Force with vision and purpose. His efforts in modernizing the Force and adopting new technologies have made a real difference.”
Paying tribute to the airmen, he said:
“Our pilots and air staff are fearless. Their courage and precision show the true spirit of our armed forces. They guard our skies with honour and strength.”
The Prime Minister ended with a clear message:
“Pakistan’s forces are always ready. They will defend every inch of our land. Any act of aggression will face a powerful and timely response. Our resolve is firm. Our unity is strong.”
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, welcomed the Prime Minister upon arrival at the base.
