Pak, Senegal aims to corporate in diverse sectors

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Senegal have agreed to boost bilateral cooperation in different sectors. The agreement came at one on one meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President of Senegal Macky Sall in Islamabad.
The Prime Minister emphasized the need for increasing the volume of trade between the two countries. He said, “Pakistan can provide technical assistance to Senegal in agriculture sector”.
The one-on-one meeting was followed by delegation level talks between the two countries. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and President of Senegal led their delegations at the talks.
The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in education, agriculture and economy. They also discussed ways and means to forge ties in trade and defence.
Upon his arrival at Prime Minister House, the President of Senegal was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent of armed forces. He inspected the guard of honour and took the salute.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hosted a luncheon in honour of visiting President of Senegal Macky Sall and members of his delegation in Islamabad today.
Members of the Federal Cabinet, parliamentarians and senior officers also attended it.
On this occasion, national anthems of the two countries were also played.
Earlier, President of Senegal, Macky Sall at the head of 34-member delegation arrived in Islamabad today on a two-day official visit to Pakistan. …APP
