Pakhtun Qaumi Itehad to hold peace rally in Swat on Feb 25

PESHAWAR: Former provincial minister and ANP leader Sardar Hussain Babak has said that the cabinet of the Pakhtun Qaumi Itehad has been formed, adding that a peace rally would be taken out in Swat on February 25.

He was addressing a press conference after a meeting of the Pakhtun Qaumi Itehad at Bacha Khan Markaz here on Monday. He said that they discussed the steps for elimination of lawlessness and terrorism in the province. He said that they had decided that conferences and peace rallies would be held for restoration of peace and security in the province. He alleged that Imran Khan was a big facilitator of the terrorists.

The ANP leader claimed that over one thousand people were missing only in Mohmand, saying that Ali Wazir was a parliamentarian, but the court seemed helpless in his release. He added that the Pakhtun Qaumi Itehad wanted elimination of terrorism.

He said that they would avoid such steps during protest rallies which could result in rifts or bitterness among the participants.

Sardar Hussain Babak maintained that businessmen have moved their investment to Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while drugs and extortion were on the rise in the province due to unemployement.
