ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Asim Munir held a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud in Riyadh, said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to ISPR, Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman warmly received COAS Gen Asim Munir upon his arrival at the royal palace on Tuesday. During the meeting, discussions encompassed mutual relations, military and defense cooperation, as well as regional and global issues.
The presence of Saudi Arabia’s Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf Al-Maliki, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, and other senior officials was noted by the ISPR.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the discussions revolved around enhancing bilateral ties between the two nations.
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia maintain fraternal relations grounded in shared values of faith, culture, and collaboration across various sectors, including defense, economy, and trade. The significant presence of over 2.5 million Pakistanis in the kingdom serves as a substantial source of remittances for Pakistan.
