A Pakistan Army helicopter crash near Chilas on Monday morning claimed the lives of five military personnel, including the pilot and crew, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The MI-17 helicopter was on a routine training mission when it developed a technical fault. ISPR said the incident occurred around 10am as the chopper crash-landed in the mountainous region near Chilas. All five soldiers on board embraced martyrdom in the tragic helicopter crash.
According to the statement, the accident took place in Hador village, located 12km from Thakdas cantonment.
