RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Army has added the advanced Z-10ME attack helicopter to its aviation fleet. Field Marshal Asim Munir led the induction ceremony during his visit to Multan Garrison, as confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday.
The Z-10ME attack helicopter is a powerful machine. It can strike with accuracy in both day and night operations. Built for all-weather missions, it is equipped with top-tier radar systems. It also features a modern electronic warfare suite, boosting the Army’s ability to counter various air and ground threats.
While visiting the Muzaffargarh Field Firing Ranges, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) witnessed a live firepower demonstration of the newly inducted Z-10ME helicopters. The performance of the helicopters impressed the high command.
ISPR noted that the arrival of this high-performance aircraft marks a strong step forward in Army Aviation’s modernization. It strengthens the military’s battlefield tactics and ensures it can respond quickly and decisively to any threat.
Field Marshal Munir met with the troops and praised their high morale and strong combat skills. He commended the precise execution of combined arms tactics. These drills showed the Army’s readiness to maintain its edge in the changing nature of warfare.
During his visit, the Army Chief received a full briefing on the unit’s operational readiness and training routines. He expressed full satisfaction with the current level of preparedness.
Later, the COAS also held a discussion with members of civil society and academia. In the session, he spoke about the critical role of national unity and the importance of civil-military cooperation. He stressed the need for a united approach in tackling hybrid threats and ensuring national cohesion.
