RAWALPINDI: The top leadership of the Pakistan Army reviewed a comprehensive assessment of the nation’s internal and external security landscape, focusing extensively on “Azm-e-Istehkam.”
According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Army Chief, chaired the 265th Corps Commanders’ Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters on Friday.
The ISPR statement outlined that Operation Azm-e-Istehkam aims to coordinate national counter-terrorism efforts, aiming to dismantle terrorist networks and illegal activities to ensure lasting stability and economic growth.
The conference expressed concern over unwarranted criticism and deliberate misrepresentation of national objectives for vested interests.
Additionally, regional security dynamics, particularly in Afghanistan, were deliberated upon, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability.
Solidarity was expressed with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, condemning severe human rights abuses, war crimes, and genocide in both regions.
The military leadership affirmed its readiness to tackle a range of challenges, pledging to fulfill constitutional obligations with the support of resilient Pakistani citizens.
The forum highlighted the threat of politically motivated digital terrorism by foreign elements aiming to spread falsehoods and sow discord through misinformation and propaganda. However, the Armed Forces and the nation remain united against such schemes.
The forum reiterated full support for ongoing efforts to enhance socio-economic growth, combat illegal activities undermining investor confidence, economic stability, and growth.
The COAS expressed satisfaction with the Army’s dedication to national security, emphasizing the importance of maintaining professionalism and operational readiness.
General Munir underscored the Pakistan Army’s readiness to confront internal and external challenges, contributing to Pakistan’s stability and prosperity.
Tribute was paid to the supreme sacrifices of Shuhadas from the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have sacrificed their lives for peace and stability in the country.
