Pakistan can review cooperation with US: Maleeha Lodhi

Pakistan stresses need for intra-Afghan dialogue to end war

UNITED NATIONS: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi said in a statement that her country’s fight against terrorism was not based on any consideration of aid but on national interests and principles.
“We have contributed and sacrificed the most in fighting international terrorism and carried out the largest counter terrorism operation anywhere in the world,” Lodhi said. “We can review our cooperation if it is not appreciated.”
She was answering to media questions in the United Nation about US envoy Nikki Haley’s comments at an earlier news conference where she repeated President Donald Trump’s allegations.
She said that Pakistan’s security forces have carried out the largest counter terrorism operation anywhere in the world.
The Ambassador said the US spokespersons should not shift the blame for their own mistakes and failures onto others.
