Pakistan Champions Advance to WCL Final After India Withdraws from Semi-Final

The much-awaited semi-final clash between the Pakistan Champions and India Champions in the World Championship of Legends (WCL) has officially been called off. The decision came after India Champions chose to withdraw from the knockout match.

In a statement posted on X, the WCL organisers shared their official stance. “At WCL, we have always believed that sport can bring people together and inspire change. But public sentiment must always be respected. Everything we do is for our audience,” the statement read.

The organisers made it clear that they honor both sides. “We respect India Champions’ choice to pull out. And we equally admire Pakistan Champions for their readiness to play,” the statement added.

After evaluating the situation, WCL decided to cancel the match. As a result, the Pakistan Champions have secured a direct spot in the final round of the tournament.

Kamil Khan, the owner of Pakistan Champions, confirmed the update. He said the team had been granted a walkover in the semi-final after India failed to show up. “The WCL made the decision. If one side does not appear for the match, the other qualifies,” Khan explained.

He also emphasized that his team deserved the final spot. “Even if the game had taken place, the result would have been the same,” Khan added. He praised the high-quality cricket his side played during the earlier matches.

According to him, the players were fully focused. “We were ready for the semi-final, no matter who the rival team was,” he stated.

Now, the team is looking ahead to the final. “We’ll see whether we go up against Australia or South Africa,” Khan said confidently.

The Pakistan Champions have kept their eyes on the prize, and this decision puts them just one step away from the championship trophy.
