Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Chinese Consul General Yang Yundong in Karachi to discuss mutual interests.
Naqvi, accompanied by Federal Interior Secretary Khurram Agha and officials from the Chinese Consulate, exchanged views on bilateral matters and the security of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
During the meeting, Minister Naqvi assured Consul General Yang of the stringent measures in place to safeguard Chinese nationals, particularly in Karachi. He emphasized the importance of adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the movement of Chinese citizens, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to protecting the Pakistan-China friendship against any malicious attempts by adversaries.
In response, Consul General Yang expressed satisfaction with the security arrangements discussed, underscoring the significance of ensuring the safety of Chinese citizens in Pakistan.
