The Pakistan military has successfully brought down 25 Harop drones used by India in a recent cross-border escalation. These unmanned aircraft, built by Israel, were intercepted using both high-tech countermeasures and direct firepower. The action was confirmed by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media arm of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
According to the ISPR, India launched these Harop drones in a state of desperation. The drone strikes came after Pakistan dealt heavy blows to Indian forces on May 6 and 7. During those clashes, Pakistan destroyed five modern aircraft, multiple surveillance drones, and several enemy posts. India also suffered significant troop casualties.
The military’s statement pointed to India’s use of Israeli technology as a symbol of its growing anxiety. “The deployment of Harop drones shows India’s rising frustration,” the statement said. Debris from these downed drones is now being collected from different regions of Pakistan.
The ISPR stressed that India continues to lose assets along the Line of Control. Pakistan’s military has dealt severe damage to Indian forces and blocked their advances with a firm hand. This includes defeating their aerial surveillance and assault tactics using anti-drone systems.
“Pakistan’s armed forces are giving a crushing response to the enemy,” the statement added. It also made clear that the country’s defence forces remain alert and are dismantling all enemy strategies.
By neutralizing Harop drones, also known as loitering munitions, Pakistan has reaffirmed its military strength. These kamikaze-style drones, known for their precision targeting, failed to break Pakistani defences. The armed forces continue to resist aggression with determination and skill.
