Pakistan Forecasts Above-Normal Rainfall in Three-Month Weather Outlook

Pakistan Weather Outlook: Above-Normal Rainfall Expected from March to May

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its three-month seasonal weather outlook, predicting above-normal rainfall in several parts of the country from March to May.

According to the department, central and western regions of Pakistan are likely to receive higher-than-usual rainfall during the spring season. Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, central Punjab, and northern Balochistan are among the areas where more rain than normal is expected.

The report states that the increase in rainfall is mainly due to stronger western weather systems affecting the region during the spring months.

However, the situation may differ in Sindh, where rainfall is expected to remain close to normal between March and May. Similarly, central and southern parts of Balochistan are also likely to experience rainfall within the usual range.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department has also predicted above-normal temperatures across the country during the same period. Northern areas, including Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, may experience higher temperatures than average.

Officials say the rise in temperature could be more noticeable in the northern regions, where warmer conditions are expected compared to previous years.
