Pakistan petroleum prices February 16 likely to rise by up to Rs6.55

Islamabad: Pakistan petroleum prices February 16 are expected to rise, with industry sources indicating a fresh increase in fuel rates that could add pressure on consumers already facing inflation.

According to industry estimates, petrol may become costlier by up to Rs4.39 per litre under the proposed revision in Pakistan petroleum prices February 16. High-speed diesel is likely to see a hike of Rs5.40 per litre, while light diesel oil could increase by as much as Rs6.55 per litre.

Sources further said kerosene oil prices may also go up by around Rs4 per litre if the adjustment is approved.

A final decision on the Pakistan petroleum prices February 16 revision will be taken after consultations between the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority, the Ministry of Finance Pakistan, and the prime minister. The new prices, if approved, will take effect from February 16.

Fuel price adjustments are reviewed fortnightly in line with global oil market trends and exchange rate movements.
