ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the bond between their countries.
During a telephone conversation, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his condolences for the passing of Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan and offered prayers for his soul. He emphasized the enduring respect the people of Pakistan hold for the UAE royal family, particularly praising the leadership of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz for reaching out.
Just days earlier, Pakistan and the UAE had reiterated their dedication to enhancing cooperation across various sectors during another telephonic exchange between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz commended the UAE’s effective response to recent challenges, particularly the impact of heavy rains, and expressed solidarity with the Emirati people. He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts to address climate change and proposed stronger cooperation between both nations in this regard.
