Pakistan secured their spot in the semi-finals due to a superior goal average compared to Malaysia, even though France had already qualified. Over the three group matches, Pakistan netted a total of 17 goals and conceded 11.
Earlier in the tournament, Pakistan played a thrilling 4-4 draw against Malaysia and achieved a commanding 8-1 victory over Canada. With these results, Pakistan is set to face New Zealand in the semi-finals on Saturday.
