ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has firmly rejected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent remarks on the Kashmir dispute during his podcast interview with Lex Fridman. The Foreign Office called Modi’s claims “misleading and one-sided.”
In a strong response, Foreign Office Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan condemned Modi’s statement. He said India is falsely portraying itself as a victim. He added that the Kashmir dispute remains unresolved even after more than seventy years.
“No false narrative can hide India’s state oppression in occupied Jammu and Kashmir,” the spokesperson said. He stressed that India cannot change ground realities through propaganda.
Pakistan Rejects India’s False Narrative
Reacting sharply to the Indian Prime Minister’s comments, Pakistan accused Modi of ignoring the Kashmir dispute while unfairly blaming Pakistan for terrorism. The Foreign Office said India is spreading fake stories to shift global attention from its own violent actions abroad.
“India should stop accusing others and instead face its own record of state-sponsored killings, sabotage, and terrorist activities outside its borders,” the spokesperson stated. He warned that such false stories are being used to justify terrorism on Pakistani soil.
India’s Policies Threaten Peace in South Asia
Pakistan reaffirmed that it remains committed to dialogue and peaceful engagement. The Foreign Office said India’s anti-Pakistan stance is hurting regional peace and blocking chances for cooperation.
The spokesperson noted that India’s aggressive approach and power-driven goals are harming peace in South Asia. He urged New Delhi to drop its confrontational attitude and return to diplomacy.
“Only meaningful talks can solve the Kashmir dispute and bring long-term peace,” the spokesperson said. He emphasized that hostility will only worsen the situation.
Pakistan’s latest statement makes it clear that the Kashmir dispute continues to be a core issue. Without resolving it, regional harmony will remain a distant dream. India’s current stance is only deepening tensions and fueling mistrust.
By raising the issue again, Pakistan reminded the world that the Kashmir dispute cannot be ignored or brushed aside by one-sided narratives. Peace requires honest dialogue and a just solution.
