Pakistan secures its border with Afghanistan: IG FC

PESHAWAR: Inspector General Frontier Corps Major General on Wednesday said that Pakistan has secured its border with Afghanistan to control infiltration of the terrorists through the border areas which was open area for Daesh, Taliban and Lashkar-e-Islam.
IG FC was talking on the occasion of his visit along with Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra to Tirah Valley. Major General Shaheen Mazhar said that Afghanistan has not deployed security forces along 130 kilometer border with Pakistan which is open ground for terrorists infiltration into Pakistan. He said that terrorists from Afghanistan attack Pakistan security forces after crossing the open border.
Pakistan and Afghanistan share a 2,500-kilometer long porous border with the Torkhum and Southwestern Chaman crossings being the only points open for movement of people and trade activities. About 50,000 people, mostly Afghans use the crossings for daily movement.

It should be noted that infiltration of the terrorists through the border areas have been a point of concern for both Pakistan and Afghanistan.
