Pakistan Slams India Over UN Experts’ Findings On IIOJK Abuses

Pakistan Slams India Over UN Experts’ Findings On IIOJK Abuses became one of the most-searched regional news topics today as the Foreign Office (FO) raised serious alarm over the latest United Nations report exposing India’s repression in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The UN Special Procedures experts released their findings on November 24, 2025, documenting severe and systematic human rights violations in the occupied region.

The FO expressed grave concern over the UN experts’ revelations, which detailed widespread arbitrary arrests, torture, and suppression carried out by Indian authorities in IIOJK. The report highlighted that India has detained nearly 2,800 people, including journalists, students, and human rights defenders.

The experts also pointed out the misuse of draconian laws like the Public Safety Act (PSA) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). These laws enable Indian forces to keep Kashmiris behind bars indefinitely without justification.

The United Nations findings noted recurring reports of torture, custodial killings, incommunicado detention, and denial of legal access. The report also mentioned demolitions, forced evictions, and communication blackouts that continue to cripple daily life in the disputed territory.

Press freedom remains under attack as well. According to the report, India has blocked around 8,000 social media accounts belonging to Kashmiris, activists, and journalists to silence criticism.

The UN experts further documented rising hate speech, mob lynching, and harassment against Kashmiris and Muslim communities across India.

Pakistan Demands India Stop Coercion In Occupied Kashmir

The FO said these findings reaffirm Pakistan’s longstanding concerns about India’s state-sponsored persecution of Kashmiri Muslims and systematic discrimination against minorities. Pakistan called on India to end its coercive measures and release all arbitrarily detained individuals in IIOJK.

The FO urged India to halt its persecution of Muslims and Christians, reverse demographic changes, restore fundamental freedoms, and stop its repressive policies. Pakistan emphasized that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute must be resolved according to UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.

The FO reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to a peaceful and just solution to the Kashmir issue. It said Pakistan will continue to provide moral, political, and diplomatic support to Kashmiris in their struggle against Indian occupation.
