In a high-level meeting held on Wednesday, the National Security Committee (NSC) condemned India’s aggression in the strongest terms. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired the session. The committee denounced the unprovoked missile, drone, and air strikes across Punjab and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. These attacks were declared as clear violations of Pakistan’s sovereignty.
According to the NSC, India’s aggression targeted innocent civilians. Mosques and homes were deliberately hit. As a result, many innocent men, women, and children lost their lives. Pakistan labeled these actions as brutal crimes and violations of international law.
The NSC declared that the responsibility for any further escalation lies completely with India. It emphasized that such acts of hostility have pushed the region towards greater instability. The committee reminded the world that Pakistan will never allow such trespasses to go unanswered.
Pakistan retains the right to defend itself under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. The NSC has given full authority to the Armed Forces to respond to Indian hostilities. The military has already shown swift action by downing five Indian fighter jets and drones. The committee praised this defensive action as a legitimate response to protect the nation.
While reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace with dignity, the NSC made one thing clear: any harm to the people or territorial integrity will not be tolerated. The statement called on the global community to take notice of India’s aggression and hold New Delhi accountable. The world must act against these acts of war before tensions rise further.
Pakistan will continue to seek peace. But it will not back down in the face of Indian provocations.
