ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has successfully conduct training launch of Ghauri Weapon System on Tuesday, the military’s media wing ISPR said in an official statement, to test the operational and technical readiness of Army Strategic Forces Command (ASFC).
The Inter-Services Public Relations in a statement said a medium-range, road-mobile, ballistic missile system indigenously developed by Pakistan, Ghauri is capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads and has a reported range of approximately 1,300 to 1,500 kilometers.
Commander ASFC, along with senior officers, scientists, and engineers from the strategic forces, witnessed the launch, emphasizing the importance of operational and technical readiness. The statement from ISPR commended the proficiency displayed in handling the weapon system, achieving operational and technical objectives in the field.
Acknowledging the high standard of training and preparedness, the President, Prime Minister of Pakistan, CJCSC, and Services Chiefs extended congratulations to the participating troops, scientists, and engineers for the successful training launch. This test follows closely on the heels of the revalidation of the Ababeel weapon system by the Pakistani army.
