RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army’s Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) announced the successful testing of the Fateh-II guided rocket system on Wednesday.
This rocket system boasts a target range of 400 km and is equipped with advanced navigation capabilities, as well as unique speed and maneuverability features.
The purpose of the test, as stated by ISPR, was to refine launch procedures, demonstrating the system’s precision targeting capabilities and its ability to overcome missile defense systems. The Fateh-II is now being integrated into Pakistan’s artillery divisions, promising a significant enhancement in the range and effectiveness of the country’s conventional weaponry.
Senior military officials, including the Chief of General Staff and representatives from the armed forces, witnessed the test, with congratulatory messages pouring in from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), heads of the armed forces, as well as from President Asif Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Notably, Pakistan had previously conducted a successful test of the indigenously developed Fateh-II missile system in December, highlighting its advanced avionics, navigation system, and impressive flight speed.
