The final match of the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia between Pakistan and Japan will be played today (Saturday) at 5:30 pm.
In the ongoing 30th edition of the tournament, Pakistan and Japan are vying for the title.
Throughout the event, Pakistan has competed in five matches, securing victories in three of them.
Their wins include triumphs over Malaysia, South Korea, and Canada, while matches against Japan and New Zealand ended in draws with one goal each.
During a press conference held yesterday, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program Rana Mashhood Ahmed announced that the final match of the Azlan Shah Cup will be broadcast live nationwide in Pakistan.
It’s noteworthy that the Sultan Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament, running from May 4 to 11, features teams from Malaysia, Pakistan, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, and South Korea.
Pakistan remains undefeated in this tournament and has secured a spot in the finals. In the previous 29th Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament, Pakistan clinched the bronze medal.
