Pakistan will send 1,000 students to China China’s Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base for advanced agricultural training.
The decision was taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his visit to China’s Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base before leaving for the country on Saturday.
During his visit to the base, the Prime Minister assured that the government will bear all expenses for these students and instructed the Pakistani Ambassador in China to coordinate with Chinese authorities for the arrangements.
Accompanied by several federal ministers, including Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Ahsan Iqbal, Prime Minister Sharif explored various sections of the base, including the Pakistani Pavilion showcasing products from Pakistan.
Furthermore, he urged the North West Agriculture and Forestry University to establish a campus in Pakistan, pledging full governmental support.
In a briefing, the Prime Minister learned about the extensive agricultural research involving 26 countries at the base, with Pakistan playing a significant role. He was briefed on the participation of Pakistani scientists and universities in ongoing research.
Highlighting Pakistan’s agricultural prowess, Prime Minister Sharif stressed the importance of adopting innovative practices to boost productivity. He reiterated the government’s commitment to increasing exports through agricultural development and processing.
During the tour, Prime Minister Sharif visited a modern plant production facility, where advanced agricultural techniques were demonstrated.
