Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, in an interview with a private FM channel on Wednesday, urged Afghan authorities to extradite terrorist leadership, especially that of the TTP, involved in terrorist activities within Pakistan.
Baloch emphasized that Pakistan possesses substantial evidence against them and will take legal action.
Addressing the recent deadly attack in Dera Ismail Khan, the foreign secretary delivered a strong demarche to the Afghan Charge D’Affaires, demanding that the Afghan government condemn the act, conduct an investigation, and take stern action against those responsible.
Baloch stressed the need for Afghanistan to fulfill its obligations and prevent the use of its land against Pakistan.
Regarding the Indian Supreme Court’s endorsement of the Modi government’s decision to abrogate the special status of illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Baloch stated that Pakistan rejects it, emphasizing its lack of legal status.
She highlighted that the Indian Supreme Court has no jurisdiction over the internationally recognized disputed region of Jammu and Kashmir.
Pakistan will continue to voice the concerns of the Kashmiri people globally until they achieve their right to self-determination.
While expressing Pakistan’s readiness for talks with India on an equal basis, Baloch insisted that talks cannot compromise on the Kashmir cause.
She asserted that India must roll back its illegal steps of August 5, 2019, for talks to proceed. The Kashmir dispute will remain a priority in any future talks, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering support for Kashmiris.
Baloch also raised concerns about India’s alleged extra-territorial killings and kidnappings in South Asia, citing instances in Canada and the US.
She warned that India’s network of espionage and terrorism has become global, urging the world to take notice of its actions.
