Pakistan Urges UN to Stop Israeli Violence Against Palestinians

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar on Wednesday urged United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterrus to intervene and halt Israeli violence and aggression against Palestinians. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the third Belt and Road Forum.

Taking to the social media platform X, the prime minister stated, “We call for an immediate halt to this indiscriminate targeting and urge the international community to swiftly intervene to stop the violence and hold the responsible parties accountable.”

PM Kakar vehemently denounced the Israeli assault on Al-Ahly Al-Mamadany Hospital in Gaza, emphasizing the substantial toll on civilians. He characterized the targeting of a hospital, a refuge for those in need, as an “indefensible act of inhumanity.” Stressing the protection afforded by international humanitarian law to hospitals and medical personnel, he called for accountability in the face of such atrocities.
