ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has pledged a firm and conclusive response to the recent Indian-sponsored terrorism in Khuzdar. Interior Secretary Captain (retd) Khurram Muhammad Agha said the attackers would fail in their mission. He was speaking during a joint press conference with DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry.
The interior secretary condemned the deadly terror strike. He assured full government support for the families of the victims. According to him, preliminary probes confirm the role of Fitna al-Hindustan in the incident. He called the attack a continuation of state-backed terrorism orchestrated by India.
Agha declared that this wasn’t just terrorism. It was a direct attack on Pakistan’s traditions and education system. He revealed that schoolchildren were deliberately targeted in Khuzdar. He accused Indian proxies of trying to shake regional peace through such heinous crimes.
He added that the Ministry of Interior is working with the provincial government and other institutions. Every detail of the attack is under review. He further said that after the failure of Operation Sindoor, India turned to its proxies to launch strikes in Balochistan.
“Our response will be decisive. These terrorists will not succeed,” Agha affirmed. He warned that the state has the power to eliminate every threat. He stressed that soft targets are now being hit as hard targets have become difficult for the attackers.
DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said India has been involved in Indian-sponsored terrorism for over two decades. He said Pakistan had submitted proof of India’s involvement to the UN in 2015 and again in 2019. Evidence was also presented to the Indian prime minister at Sharm El Sheikh in 2009.
He pointed out the arrest of Indian spy Kulbhushan Jadhav from Pakistani soil. Many other arrested militants had also admitted receiving support from India. He stated the May 21 Khuzdar attack was ordered directly by India. “This is the brutal and terrorist face of India,” he said. “It has nothing to do with Baloch identity or nationalism.”
Lt Gen Chaudhry gave a list of recent tragedies. On April 12, 12 labourers were killed in Nushki. On April 28, two workers died in Tump Kech. On February 14, 10 people perished in an IED explosion in Harnai. Innocent civilians and off-duty personnel were martyred in the Jaffer Express attack. Three barbers were also martyred in Lasbela on May 9. Most recently, six children died in the Khuzdar school blast, with 51 more still struggling for life.
He said these acts are clear signs of Indian-orchestrated terror. “The enemy now targets children and women, but they will never break Balochistan’s resolve,” he asserted. Families of the victims were shown in video clips during the press conference.
Chaudhry questioned how India could celebrate terrorism. He said such acts expose the real ideology of those behind terrorism fueled by India. “This is not humanity. It’s savagery on Indian payrolls,” he said.
He recalled a terrorist arrest in Jhelum on April 26. The suspect’s mobile phone revealed shocking audio evidence. An audio clip was played at the briefing. It proved Indian military’s direct control over terrorist operations in Pakistan.
He asked journalists who visited Muridke and Bahawalpur after India’s May 7 drone attacks: “Were there any training camps there? No. Just children. So who’s the terrorist?” he asked. “The truth is undeniable. India is behind it all.”
The DG ISPR condemned those who questioned the border fence project. He asked: “Who is funding and arming these militants? It’s India.” He said India supports not only Fitna al-Hindustan, but also Fitna al-Khawarij.
Chaudhry mentioned Indian media glorifying the cowardly Mianwali base attack on October 6, 2024. He also mentioned Indian channels celebrating the Khuzdar incident. “What kind of country cheers on terrorism?” he asked.
He slammed retired Indian generals for promoting violence and backing Indian proxy attacks. “This has no link to Baloch nationalism,” he stressed. Indian clips were shown during the briefing to expose how the media glorifies terror.
He said Indian media gives airtime to terror outfits and their spokesmen. He declared: “There is no free press in India. It’s all state propaganda.” He noted that many surrendered Baloch militants confessed to being misled by Indian funding.
A video was shown of these surrendered fighters. They admitted to receiving training and money from India. “This network is operated by India,” he emphasized. He also accused Indian proxies of blackmailing girls into becoming suicide bombers. “These are Khawarij who kill Muslims but spare idolaters,” he warned.
Chaudhry said Indian intelligence controls thousands of social media accounts. These pages spread disinformation through platforms like DisinfoLab. From January 2024 to now, there have been 4,664 terror incidents. In counter-operations, 1,018 terrorists were neutralized.
“This Indian-sponsored terrorism will never take root in Pakistan,” he said.
The DG ISPR also discussed Balochistan’s development. He said progress in the province is alarming for India-backed elements. “They fear that our success will silence their narrative,” he said. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, he added, is focused on Balochistan’s uplift.
He dismissed separatist slogans as empty and fake. “The Baloch are part of national politics,” he said. He pointed out that only 40% of the population is ethnically Baloch. Another 30% are Pashtun, with other groups forming the rest. “Once development picks pace, these proxies will have no support left.”
On Pakistan-Afghanistan ties, the DG said Pakistan always stood with the Afghan people. Millions of refugees were hosted and trade was facilitated. “Transit trade still continues,” he noted. But he warned: “Not even a drop of Pakistani blood will be compromised.”
He urged Afghanistan to reject India’s influence. “Afghanistan must not become a tool of Indian plans,” he said. He praised Pakistan’s diplomats and their proactive efforts in foreign policy.
Speaking on religious sites, he said India sent drones to target Nankana Sahib. Pakistan shot them down. He insisted Pakistan respects religious sites. “Sikh pilgrims are treated with love and respect,” he said. “India spreads lies. They used even their generals to mislead the world.”
Pakistan, he said, remained calm during the last confrontation. “India thought Pakistan was weak. They were wrong,” he concluded.
