ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reiterated its commitment to apprehend and prosecute the perpetrators, facilitators, and accomplices behind the Bisham terror attack that left five Chinese nationals dead.
During her regular press briefing today, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized, “This heinous attack was masterminded by those seeking to undermine the strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and China.”
She affirmed that such malicious endeavors will not deter the collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and fostering bilateral cooperation.
Zahra underscored Pakistan’s unwavering stance against any attempts to disrupt the robust ties between the two nations, asserting, “Pakistan remains steadfast in thwarting any forces attempting to sabotage the cherished relationship.”
Highlighting the deep-rooted friendship and camaraderie between Pakistan and China, the spokesperson asserted that both nations, as “Iron Brothers,” will jointly combat and overcome such nefarious elements.
Furthermore, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch assured, “Pakistan remains fully committed to ensuring the safety and security of Chinese nationals, projects, and establishments within its borders. Enhanced security measures have been implemented to safeguard the Chinese citizens.”
Addressing a query, the spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s stance on trade relations with India, stating that bilateral trade has remained dormant since 2019, following India’s unilateral actions in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
She raised concerns regarding reports indicating the Indian occupation authorities’ intentions to auction off blocks of lithium resources discovered in the region, warning against the exploitation of these valuable resources that rightfully belong to the Kashmiri people.
The spokesperson condemned such actions by the Indian authorities as illegal and exploitative, urging India to desist from such exploitative practices and uphold the Kashmiris’ rights to their land and natural resources.
Expressing apprehension over the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza despite the United Nations Security Council’s call for an immediate ceasefire, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch urged Israel and its allies to halt the indiscriminate violence against the Palestinian populace, lift the oppressive blockade, and ensure unhindered access for humanitarian aid to all parts of Gaza.
