Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI: Maaz Sadaqat Shines as Pakistan Crush Bangladesh by 128 Runs

Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI turned into a one-sided contest as Pakistan secured a commanding 128-run victory in the rain-affected match at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Chasing a revised target of 243 in 32 overs, Bangladesh struggled from the start. Their batting line-up failed to build partnerships and the team was bowled out for just 114 in 23.3 overs. The collapse gave Pakistan a comfortable win and strengthened their position in the series.

Bangladesh had originally been set a target of 275 runs in 50 overs. However, rain interrupted the game and officials revised the target. Even before the interruption, the hosts looked under pressure. They lost three wickets in the first five overs with only 15 runs on the scoreboard.

Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy tried to stabilise the innings and took the score to 27 for three before rain stopped play for more than two hours. When the match resumed, both batters played aggressively and added quick runs. Their partnership brought some hope for the home crowd.

The momentum shifted again when Maaz Sadaqat broke the stand. He dismissed Litton Das and triggered a dramatic collapse in the Bangladesh innings. Das remained the top scorer for Bangladesh with 41 runs from 33 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes.

After his dismissal, Bangladesh lost wickets at regular intervals. Towhid Hridoy scored 28 but could not carry the innings forward. The team soon slipped to 103 for eight, leaving Pakistan in full control of the match.

Maaz Sadaqat played a key role with the ball as well. His tight spell helped Pakistan dominate the middle overs. Haris Rauf supported him strongly and cleaned up the lower order to seal the victory.

In the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI, both Sadaqat and Rauf finished with three wickets each. Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets, while Mohammad Wasim Jr and Faheem Ashraf chipped in with one wicket each.

Earlier in the match, Pakistan posted a competitive total of 274 runs in 47.3 overs after Bangladesh chose to field first. Pakistan’s openers started aggressively and built a strong foundation for the innings.

Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat added 103 runs in just 77 deliveries. The partnership put Bangladesh under early pressure. Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz finally broke the stand by dismissing Sadaqat.

Sadaqat played a brilliant knock and scored 75 runs from just 46 balls. His innings included six fours and five sixes. His attacking approach gave Pakistan early momentum in the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI.

After the first breakthrough, Pakistan lost a couple of quick wickets as Farhan and Shamyl Hussain departed. The score moved to 122 for three in the 19th over, giving Bangladesh a brief chance to fight back.

Salman Agha then joined Mohammad Rizwan and both batters rebuilt the innings. They added 109 runs for the fourth wicket and pushed Pakistan into a strong position.

Agha scored 64 runs from 62 balls with seven fours and two sixes before an unusual run-out ended his innings. Rizwan also contributed with a steady 44 off 59 deliveries.

Pakistan looked set to cross the 300-run mark at one stage. However, a late collapse saw them lose their last five wickets for just 43 runs. Despite that setback, the total proved more than enough.

In the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI, Bangladesh bowlers struggled to contain the early scoring. Rishad Hossain took three wickets, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed two. Nahid Rana, Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed picked up one wicket each.

Pakistan’s disciplined bowling later ensured that Bangladesh never looked close to the target. The all-round brilliance of Maaz Sadaqat remained the highlight of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI.
