Tensions between India and Pakistan are once again on the rise. Early Wednesday morning, Pakistan’s Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar issued a serious warning. He claimed that Pakistan has solid intelligence pointing to a possible Indian military strike within the next 24 to 36 hours.
“India is planning a military operation using the Pahalgam incident as an excuse,” Tarar posted on the social media platform X. He warned that if any aggressive move is made, Pakistan will respond decisively. “India will bear full responsibility for any fallout in the region,” he stressed.
An official statement was also released through Pakistan’s government social media channels. In it, Tarar criticized India’s self-assigned role as “Judge, Jury, and Executioner” in the India Pakistan Conflict. He called the Indian stance “reckless” and completely rejected it.
Tarar reminded the world that Pakistan has suffered the most from terrorism and has always opposed it in every form. “As a responsible state, we offered a fair and independent probe by neutral experts,” the press release stated. However, he said that India has refused to choose reason. Instead, it has taken a path filled with confrontation, risking devastation across South Asia.
According to the minister, India’s refusal to allow a fair investigation reveals its actual agenda. He accused Indian authorities of using public emotions for political gain. “Such behavior is deeply regrettable,” Tarar emphasized.
He repeated Pakistan’s firm position: Any Indian military move will get a powerful and immediate reaction. “The global community should know that if the India Pakistan Conflict escalates, the blame will fall squarely on India,” he said.
The official statement ended with a powerful message: “Pakistan will protect its sovereignty and borders at all costs.”
This warning came just hours after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a top-level security meeting at his official residence. The meeting followed the recent deadly attack in the Pahalgam area of Indian-occupied Kashmir.
During the session, Modi gave full freedom to India’s armed forces to take action against terrorism. He also expressed full trust in their ability to choose the right time, targets, and strategy.
The meeting was attended by top Indian officials. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and Air Force Chief Amar Preet Singh were all present.
Sources say Modi declared a firm commitment to defeat terrorism. He told his military commanders that they had full authority to act without delay.
Just a day before, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had issued a similar alert. He told Reuters that an Indian attack could happen at any moment. The warning came after the killing of 26 people in the Pahalgam region, which sparked a wave of anger in India and calls for military action against Pakistan.
“We have deployed more troops. We know something is about to happen,” Asif said. He added that Pakistan’s armed forces had informed the government about India’s potential strike. Strategic decisions have already been made in response to this threat in the ongoing India Pakistan Conflict.
