Pakistan Wins Asian Youth Netball Championship After Crushing Maldives in Final

Pakistan has clinched the title of the Asian Youth Netball Championship after a dominant win over the Maldives in the final match. The thrilling finale was held in South Korea on Friday. Pakistan beat the Maldives by a strong margin of 60-35.

Throughout the championship, the green shirts delivered an unbeaten performance. Their teamwork, strategy, and dedication stood out at every stage. The victory marks a historic moment for Pakistan in youth netball.

The Asian Youth Netball Championship, which took place from June 27 to July 4, was hosted at the Jeonju Hwasan Gymnasium in South Korea. A total of eleven teams took part, split into two pools.

Group A featured Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and India.
Group B included Chinese Taipei, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Maldives, and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan’s road to the championship was paved with confidence and consistency. Just a day before the final, Pakistan defeated Japan 64-39 in the semi-final round. Earlier, they had also beaten the Maldives 49-39 in the quarter-finals.

Chairman of the Pakistan Netball Federation, Mudassir Arian, praised the players for their historic achievement. President Sameen Malik and Secretary General Muhammad Riaz also extended heartfelt congratulations to the young athletes.

This win at the Asian Youth Netball Championship is a huge step forward for youth netball in Pakistan. The team’s outstanding display has placed the country on the map in regional netball. It also reflects the rising potential and passion for this sport among the country’s young players.
